Anna’s Senior Portrait Session was probably one of my favorites ever. I think the magic ingredient was that Anna was able to dictate where she wanted to shoot it and how she wanted it to look. South Florida isn’t even Anna’s home, Illinois is. But for as long as she can remember, her aunt and uncle’s home has been where she has spent every Summer. She considers the protected botanical gardens where they live to be her happy place. So that is exactly where she decided she wanted her senior pictures to take place.

Barefoot wearing her favorite dress, Anna drove us in a golf cart to all of her favorite spots including the tree that was planted in her honor as a sapling (now almost 30 ft tall). One way you can tell she was in her happy place was that even when it started raining she didn’t even notice. With the rain becoming so heavy, we had to pause before being able to travel down the road to Matheson Hammock to get the closing sunset shots.
